Nurse Specialist / Team Leader (Oncology / Haematology)

Nurse Specialist / Team Leader (Oncology / Haematology) required to work with patients in a hospital setting.
Ref: NS16/G6
You will:
- Assess patients, plans and implement care in an Oncology / Haematology ward / dept.
- Provide specialist advice and maintains associated records
- Carry out specialist nursing procedures
- Provide clinical supervision to other staff, students
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff
- May ensure effective running of ward/dept in absence of Nurse Team Manager
- May undertake research, lead clinical audits within own specialist area
It is essential that you are registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment. For assignments in adult areas you must have an RN (Adult) / RN1 / RN2 qualification. For assignments in child areas you must have an RN(Child) / RN8 qualification.
AND
ENB 237 or equivalent post registration course in oncology / haematology nursing achieved through an Institute of Higher Education (Level 3) plus an Intermediate Life Support qualification.
It is desirable that you have an Advanced Life Support qualification and a Teaching & Assessing qualification.
You must have 2 years plus, post registration experience in Oncology / Haematology. Current (within the last 6 months) evidence based practice within Oncology / Haematology appropriate to the assignment.
