Health Visitor - Specialist / Team Manager
£23.50ph London
Health Visitor – Specialist / Team Manager required to work with clients and their families in the community.
Ref: HV2/G7
You will:
- Work within an interdisciplinary team to promote health and to deliver high quality care and services for patients and their families in the community in collaboration with other external agencies / organisations.
- Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills and ability to manage a skill mix team
- May manage team of health visitors and other community staff covering a geographical area including recruitment and appraisal.
- Work with families with specific health and social needs, undertakes specialist service planning
- Provide skilled, professional assessment of health needs, plans and implement care and deliver health information to members of the community
- Provide advice and maintains associated records
- Carry out nursing procedures
- Provide clinical leadership to the health visiting team and co-ordinate workloads
- Facilitate community placements for students, provide induction training and do clinical supervision
You will need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment: RN (Adult) / RN1/RN2 OR RN (Child) / RN8, Registered Specialist Practitioner – Health Visiting. In addition you will have professional knowledge acquired through degree supplemented by diploma levels specialist training, experience, short courses, as appropriate for the assignment, as well as evidence of professional updating and an ENB 998 or equivalent Teaching & Assessing qualification.
You will be required to have significant evidence based practice as a Health Visitor in a health care setting appropriate to the field of the assignment. You will be able to demonstrates up to date knowledge of Safeguarding Practice and Assessment, have relevant post registration experience and have significant experience of staff management and supervision.
