Health Visitor - Specialist Public Health Practitioner

£20.60ph London

Health Visitor - Specialist Public Health Practitioner required to work with clients and families in the community.

Ref: HV1/G6

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to promote health and to deliver high quality care and services for patients and their families in the community in collaboration with other external agencies / organisations.

Duties may include:

- Providing clinical leadership and supervision to other staff and students

- Undertaking health assessments, health needs profiling,  screening and any necessary follow up action

- Undertaking health education

- Assessing, planning and implementation of care.

- Facilitate community placements for students, and provide induction training and clinical supervision

- Providing advice and maintaining associated records

- Carrying out nursing procedures

- Working in partnership with the wider primary care team, social services and other agencies and organisations to promote health and deliver quality care and advice to clients and families

- Works within the NMC code of practice and professional guidelines

It is essential that you are registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment: RN (Adult) / RN1/ RN2 OR RN (Child) / RN8

- Registered Specialist Practitioner Health Visiting

- Relevant diploma level specialist training or equivalent as required for the assignment

It would be desirable for you to have an ENB 998 or equivalent Teaching & Assessing qualification.

You are required to have significant evidence based practice as a Health Visitor in a health care setting appropriate to the field of the assignment. You will need to demonstrate up to date knowledge of Safeguarding Practice and Assessment, as well as relevant post registration experience.
