The Role:
Assesses children and young people, plans and implements individual care programmes and therapeutic interventions.
Provides specialised advice in the community and maintains associated records.
Liaises with other agencies in planning and assessing programmes of care.
Provides individual support for children and their families with a mental health problem to enable them to live in the community and make their own choices.
Works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis on promoting independence and rehabilitation.
Carries out nursing procedures.
Provides clinical supervision to other staff, students.

You will need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment: RN (Mental Health ) RN3, RN4 OR RN (Child) RN8.
The role requires the relevant diploma level specialist training or equivalent post registration qualification as required for the assignment and evidence of continuing professional education.
You need a minimum of two years post registration experience in child mental health, at least 1 year (within last 6 months) in the field of the assignment as well as crisis management and intervention experience.
A teaching & assessing qualification is desirable but not required.
