The Role:
Assesses patients, plans and implements individual care programmes and therapeutic interventions in a range of community mental health settings including the home, clinics and intermediate care.
Provides specialised advice in the community and maintains associated records.
Liaises with other agencies in planning and assessing programmes of care.
Provides individual support for people with a mental health problem to enable them to live in the community and make their own choices.
Works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis on promoting independence and rehabilitation.
Carries out nursing procedures.
Provides clinical supervision to other staff, students.

You need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment: RN (Mental Health ) RN3, RN4
This role requires you to have relevant diploma level specialist training or equivalent as required for the assignment, evidence of continuing professional education and evidence of professional updating. You are required to have a minimum of two years post registration experience, at least 1 year (within last 6 months) in the field of the assignment as well as crisis management and intervention experience.
A teaching & assessing qualification and experience in phlebotomy is desirable but not required.
