Assesses patients, plans and implements individual care programmes and therapeutic interventions in a range of community settings including clinics and hospitals.
Manages a caseload and functions as a Care Co-ordinator for service uses with complex drug/alcohol and healthcare needs.
Works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis on promoting independence, rehabilitation and harm minimisation.
Carries out nursing procedures.
May provide clinical supervision to more junior staff, students.

You will need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register as required for the assignment: RN (Mental Health ) RN3, RN4 or RN1, RN2

You will also need at least 6 months experience in Substance Misuse Services and current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within a substance misuse service appropriate to the assignment. If newly qualified (within the last year) you will be required to provide evidence that a preceptorship programme has been completed successfully. A mentorship / teaching & assessing qualification is desirable but not required.
