You will assess patients, plans and implement individual care programmes and therapeutic interventions in a range of community mental health settings including the home, clinics and intermediate care, provide individual support for people with a mental health problem to enable them to live in the community and make their own choices. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis on promoting independence and rehabilitation, carry out nursing procedures and may provide clinical supervision to other staff, students.

You are required to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment:
RN (Mental Health ) RN3, RN4.

Current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within a mental health setting appropriate to the assignment is required and if newly qualified (within the last year) evidence that a preceptorship programme has been completed successfully. A teaching & assessing qualification is desirable but not required.
