Nurse Team Manager / Theatre Practitioner Team Manager

A band 7 Nurse Team Manager / Theatre Practitioner Team Manager needed to work with patients in a hospital setting.

Ref: TH6/C7

You will provide skilled, professional assessments of health needs and relevant nursing care, provide clinical leadership to the theatre team and co-ordinates nursing team work loads, manage theatre staff including appraisals, rotas. recruitment & selection and supervision of students. You will assess patients, plans and implement care, provide specialist education and training to other staff and students, undertake research, lead clinical audits within own specialist area and provide advice and maintain associated records.

You need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment.
RN (Adult) / RN1/ RN2 OR RN (Child)/RN8 OR City and Guilds 752 or NVQ Level 3 in Operating Department Practice or equivalent Diploma in Higher Education in Operating Department Practice.
Professional knowledge is needed acquired through relevant post registration / qualification course in achieved through an Institute of Higher Education (Level 3) as required for the assignment - supplemented by specialist clinical managerial training, evidence of Continuing Professional Development along with ENB 998 or equivalent Teaching & Assessing qualification experience.
A minimum of four years post registration experience in Theatres and at least 2 years experience within the field of assignment. Current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice is required as well as staff management and supervision experience.
