You will assesse, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients undergoing theatre procedures, prepare and assemble theatre instruments / equipment, carry out nursing procedures and may provide clinical supervision to other staff, students. You will work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.

For this role you need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment:

Assignments in Adult or Paediatric areas:
RN (Adult) / RN1 / RN2

Assignments in Paediatric areas:
RN (Child) / RN8 Registered Nurse

You will need at least 1 years post registration experience working in theatres in the field of the assignment along with current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice in theatres. If newly qualified (within the last year) evidence that a preceptorship programme has been completed successfully.A teaching & assessing qualification is desirable but not required.
