Theatre Assistant Practitioner

Theatre Assistant Practitioner to work with patients in Anaesthetics, Theatre or Recovery (Adult or Paediatric).

You will support a theatre team in the care of patients prior to and during surgery, clean and prepare theatre equipment and instruments used for surgical procedures, assists surgical medical staff for minor surgical procedures, observe patients condition, record clinical observations and report to line manager.
You will be required to have a knowledge of theatre procedures / protocols including surgical assistance, clinical observations acquired through NVQ level 3 plus further training and experience in theatres OR equivalent. At least 2 years theatre experience in the area of the assignment is needed. An NVQ Assessor is desirable but not required.
