Nurse Advanced / Nurse Team Manager - Emergency Nurse Practitioner

A band 7 Nurse Advanced / Nurse Team Manager – Emergency Nurse Practitioner required to care for patients in a hospital setting.

You will provide a holistic , autonomous clinical nursing service attending to referrals and self referrals to the Minor Injury Unit / A& E Dept, assesses patient needs and implement agreed management plans including appropriate investigations, prescribing, referring and discharging plans and implementing care in a Minor Injuries Unit or A&E setting. You will provide specialist advice and maintain associated records, carry out specialist nursing procedures along with providing clinical supervisions to other staff, students and providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff. You may be required to ensure effective running of ward/dept in absence of Nurse Team Manger and may undertake research, lead clinical audits within your own specialist area.
You will need a RN (Adult) / RN1/ RN2 AND ENB 199 or equivalent post registration course in Accident and Emergency nursing achieved through an Institute of Higher Education. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Intermediate Life Support.
3 years plus, post registration experience in Accident and Emergency / Minor Injuries Unit is required as well as current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within Accident and Emergency / Minor Injuries Unit as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. You will need to be competent as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
An advanced Life Support Teaching & assessing qualification is desirable but not required.
