Nurse Specialist / Team Leader (Accident and Emergency)

A band 6 Nurse Specialist / Team Leader to work with patients in a hospital setting in Accident and Emergency.

You will be assessing patients, plans and implementing care in an A&E /MIU setting, providing specialist advice and maintaining associated records, carring out specialist nursing procedures e.g. symptom , toxicity management along with clinical supervisions to other staff, students.
The role provides clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff and may ensure effective running of ward/dept in absence of Nurse Team Manger you may also undertake research, lead clinical audits within your own specialist area.
You will need to be registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment, RN (Adult) / RN1/ RN2 / RN(Child)/RN8 and ENB 199 or equivalent post registration course in Accident and Emergency nursing achieved through an Institute of Higher Education (Level 3) Intermediate Life Support.
You need to have 2 years plus, post registration experience in Accident and Emergency / MIU along with current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within A&E / MIU appropriate to the assignment.
Advanced Life Support and teaching & assessing qualificationsare desirable but not needed.
