Nurse Team Leader / Nurse Specialist (Learning Disabilities)

Nurse Team Leader / Nurse Specialist required to work with individuals in the community with learning disabilities.
Ref: CS13/G6
Working with people with learning disabilities you will assess care needs, implement and monitor care plans, administer medication and provide advice in specialist areas for patients/ clients with learning disabilities.
You will form a supportive relationship with learning disability clients to facilitate care and will initiate and promote practice development and supervise and allocate staff, co-ordinate staff duty rotas, and clinical leadership. You may also be required to manage staff in the absence of the team manager.
You will carry out nursing procedures to support and care for clients with learning disabilities and provide clinical supervision to other staff and students. Working within an interdisciplinary team you will deliver quality care with an emphasis
You must have a minimum of two years post registration experience and at least 1 year (within last 6 months) evidence based practice caring for people with learning disabilities in a healthcare setting appropriate to the field of the assignment.
